Llollelhue River
The river curves past the town, forming a soft, winding line that frames the grid of streets and gives the poster its most recognisable natural feature.

La Unión Map Poster & Print
La Unión lies in Chile's Los Ríos Region, in the green central valley between the Andes and the coastal range, and serves as the capital of Ranco Province. The town is built beside the Llollelhue River, whose curving course contrasts on the map with the straight streets of the centre and gives the composition a natural edge.
The surrounding land is dairy and farming country, settled in part by German immigrants in the nineteenth century, and the map reflects that agricultural setting. Beyond the urban grid, roads run out between large fields and scattered farm buildings, and the river winds away across the plain with open land on either side.
A La Unión map poster balances order and flow: the regular blocks of a Chilean provincial town and the looser line of the river that shaped where it was built. In a minimalist style, those two elements are all that is needed to recognise the place, whether you grew up there or passed through the south.

Provincial grid
The centre follows the regular block layout common to Chilean towns, with streets meeting at right angles around the main civic area.
Farmland beyond
Outside the built-up area, long rural roads cross open dairy and farming country, leaving wide, quiet spaces at the edges of the map.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
La Unión means something particular to people from the south of Chile: rain, green fields, river mornings and family farms. A map of the town is a restrained way to keep that landscape present in a home far from Los Ríos.
Set your own title and subtitle, a date and the coordinates line, and choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 download includes six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files, with printed posters also available.
