Cotinguiba River
The river loops past the old town and once carried sugar toward the coast. It remains the strongest natural line on the map.

Laranjeiras Map Poster & Print
Laranjeiras sits on the Cotinguiba River in eastern Sergipe, a short distance inland from Aracaju. It grew during the colonial sugar economy, and the old town still follows the river and the gentle hills beside it. From above the streets bend with the terrain rather than following a strict grid, and church squares mark key points.
The historic centre is protected as national heritage, with colonial houses, churches and old sugar-trade buildings. Laranjeiras is also known for its folk culture. Every January the Encontro Cultural de Laranjeiras brings together traditional dance, music and religious groups, many rooted in Afro-Brazilian traditions of the region.
A Laranjeiras map poster places the town between the curving river and the old cane fields. The irregular historic streets form a soft cluster, and the river gives the composition a flowing edge. In monochrome the green hills and plantations become open space around the town. It is a fine keepsake of one of Sergipe's most significant historic places.

Historic centre
Colonial streets and church squares cluster on the river's edge, forming an irregular web shaped by terrain and early settlement, not by later planning.
Sugarcane country
Beyond the town, farmland and plantation roads extend across rolling ground, a reminder of the sugar economy that built Laranjeiras.
