Hillside streets
Many roads bend along contour lines and over ridges rather than running straight. Together they create a flowing texture that gives the map a soft, organic feel.

Leopoldina Map Poster & Print
Leopoldina lies in the Zona da Mata of south-eastern Minas Gerais, a region of rounded hills that once held large coffee farms. From above, the town is irregular: streets climb over ridges and follow valleys, a denser centre gathers on the lower ground, and newer neighbourhoods spread onto the slopes around it wherever the land allows.
The town has a literary link that many Brazilians know. The poet Augusto dos Anjos, author of the collection Eu, lived his last years in Leopoldina and died here in 1914. The town's growth in the nineteenth century came with the coffee economy and the railway, both of which shaped the Zona da Mata.
A Leopoldina map poster captures a street plan shaped by hills. Curving roads, the tighter grid in the centre and the open green land around the town make a gentle, balanced composition. It is an image that rewards people who know the town, while also showing how Minas Gerais towns fit into their landscape.

Town centre
On the lower ground, the older centre has a tighter, more regular block pattern. It is the densest part of the map and draws the eye toward the middle.
Rural edges
The town ends in open hills crossed by country roads. That empty space gives the design room and places it within the Zona da Mata landscape.
