Lucknow Map Poster & Print
Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, lies on the Gomti River, which winds through the city in a series of broad curves. On a map the river divides the older districts on the south bank from the newer areas to the north and east, and several bridges carry roads across it at intervals.
The historic core, shaped under the Nawabs of Awadh in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, contains the Bara Imambara and the Rumi Darwaza gateway, surrounded by tight, irregular lanes. Nearby, Hazratganj, the main shopping district, has wider and more formal streets, while the older bazaars of Aminabad and Chowk remain densely built.
East of the river, Gomti Nagar is a large planned district with a regular layout and big parks, including the Ambedkar Memorial Park. The city is also known for its cuisine and its tradition of courtly manners. A Lucknow map poster brings together the curving river, the old Nawabi quarters and the modern grids in one image.

Old Nawabi quarter
Around the Bara Imambara and Chowk, the streets form a dense, uneven mesh, a clear contrast to the broader avenues of the newer parts of the city.
Gomti Nagar
Across the river, a planned district of regular blocks, large roads and open parkland spreads east, one of the most orderly areas on the poster.

Lucknow is a city of strong attachments, and people who studied, married or grew up there often want to keep it close. A map poster shows the river and the neighbourhoods they know without turning them into a postcard.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be edited, to name a mohalla, a family or a date. Choose from five styles, including Paper and Sand for warmer interiors, and order a printed poster or download HD files for $9.
