Makeni Map Poster & Print
Makeni is the largest city in Sierra Leone's Northern Province and serves as its main commercial and administrative centre. On a map, the streets spread in an irregular pattern from the centre. Main roads lead outward toward Freetown and the other regions of the country, while smaller lanes fill the neighbourhoods between them. Hills and green land shape the outskirts.
The city has grown considerably in recent decades and serves as an important hub for trade and education in the north. Its universities and schools draw students from across the region. The street pattern reflects that growth: denser in the centre, looser and more organic toward the edges, where the city gradually merges with the surrounding countryside.
A Makeni map poster shows a city defined by its natural growth rather than a formal plan. The branching main roads give the composition structure, and the many smaller streets add texture. For people who come from Makeni or studied there, the map records a place that is both a home and a crossroads.
