Dispersed settlement
Houses follow lanes and roads rather than clustering in a dense centre. On the poster this appears as a light, branching network spread across the sheet.

Manalur Map Poster & Print
Manalur lies in Thrissur district in central Kerala, on the low, wet land between the city and the coast. On the map it does not look like a town in the usual sense. Houses are spread along lanes and roads among coconut groves, and the gaps between them are filled with paddy fields and water.
This pattern is common in coastal Kerala, where settlements follow slightly higher ground and the lower land floods in the monsoon and is farmed. Canals and channels cross the area, and the field edges are drawn in long, irregular shapes rather than neat squares.
A Manalur map poster is quiet and open. A network of fine lanes connects homes, temples and schools, and broad, empty areas show where the fields lie. It makes a gentle, textured print for anyone with family roots in the village or memories of the green countryside around Thrissur.

Paddy land
Low-lying fields fill large areas between the settled strips. In black and white they read as calm open spaces that give the composition room to breathe.
Waterways
Canals and channels wind through the fields. Their thin, curving lines add movement and remind the viewer how central water is to this landscape.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Many people with roots in Manalur live far from Kerala, and a map of the village's lanes and fields is a quiet way of keeping home nearby. The loose, open pattern also looks beautiful on its own terms.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with a family name in the title. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand gives it a warm tone.
