Branching lanes
Small roads fork and curve between house plots, forming an irregular web that reflects gradual growth rather than a planned grid or a formal town centre.

Marampilly Map Poster & Print
Marampilly lies in the Ernakulam district of central Kerala, in the busy corridor east of Aluva. As in much of this part of the state, there is no sharp line between town and village. Houses, shops and small institutions spread along a network of roads and lanes, with coconut palms, gardens and paddy land filling the gaps.
From above, the street pattern is organic rather than planned. Roads bend to follow old property boundaries and gentle changes in level, and narrow lanes branch off to reach clusters of homes. The Periyar, Kerala's longest river, flows nearby through Aluva. Water and vegetation shape the wider setting as much as the roads do.
A Marampilly map poster shows this dispersed, lived-in landscape. The composition is made of many fine lines rather than a single dominant centre, which gives the print a detailed, almost textile quality. It is a portrait of the everyday geography of central Kerala, where settlements merge gradually into one another along roads and waterways.

Dispersed settlement
Buildings spread evenly across the area instead of clustering tightly, a pattern typical of Kerala where town and countryside blend into each other.
Periyar setting
The wider Aluva area is defined by the Periyar river, which brings broad curves of water into the surrounding map and anchors the local geography.

Many Keralites live and work far from home, and a map of their village or neighbourhood is a quiet way to keep it close. This poster suits a new flat abroad, a family gift or a housewarming.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a house name or a wedding date. The poster comes in five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
