Historic centre
Around the parish church the streets narrow and bend. This forms the oldest and densest part of the plan, easy to pick out against the looser modern districts.

Mariano Comense Map Poster & Print
Mariano Comense lies in the Brianza, the rolling, densely settled country between Milan and Como. From above, its historic centre is a compact knot of streets around the main church. It spreads outward into residential neighbourhoods, industrial lots and the separate frazione of Perticato, with patches of park and woodland marking the gentle hills.
The town is closely tied to the Brianza furniture industry. Workshops and factories producing furniture and design pieces have shaped the local economy for generations, and they appear on the map as the larger blocks between the residential streets. A railway line toward Milan runs through the town and links it to the metropolitan area.
A Mariano Comense map poster shows how thoroughly this part of Lombardy is built up. Streets connect almost without a break into neighbouring towns, and roads between them curve around the slopes. The finished print is detailed and slightly irregular, a good picture of a place where small-town Italy and industrial Lombardy overlap.

Railway line
The railway toward Milan cuts through town in a steady line. It separates neighbourhoods and marks the town's long link to the regional capital.
Furniture district
Larger industrial blocks mark the workshops and factories of the Brianza furniture trade. They fill parts of the map with broad, rectangular shapes.
