Web of tracks
Unpaved roads and paths branch in many directions, linking homes and plots in an irregular network. It gives the map a fine, hand-drawn texture.

Matundasi Map Poster & Print
Matundasi is a settlement in the Mbeya Region of south-western Tanzania, in Chunya District north of Mbeya city. From above it looks less like a town with a fixed centre and more like a network. Dirt roads and footpaths link clusters of homes, small plots and open ground. Buildings are densest along the main route and thin out toward the bush.
The wider Chunya area has long been associated with gold, and small-scale mining has shaped many settlements across the district. The map reflects this history indirectly: tracks branch out toward the surrounding land rather than following a planned layout. Beyond the settlement, the landscape opens into woodland and rolling country crossed by seasonal streams.
A Matundasi map poster is an unusual subject, and that is the point. It records a place most commercial maps ignore, drawn with the same care as any capital. For people who grew up here, worked in the district or have family in Mbeya, the fine web of paths makes a personal and graphic print.

Main route
A main road runs through the settlement, and buildings gather most densely along it. It forms the clearest line in an otherwise loose composition.
Open surroundings
Beyond the built-up area, open ground, woodland and seasonal watercourses take over. The generous empty space suits a minimalist black-and-white print.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Printed maps of small Tanzanian settlements are hard to find, so a well-drawn one means a lot to families spread between Mbeya, Dar es Salaam and further afield. It keeps a specific place present, at a scale that shows the paths people actually walk.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and pick from five styles; Sand and Paper are gentle options for this open landscape. The $9 digital files come without a watermark as 300 DPI PNG and PDF, in six print sizes ready for a local print shop.
