Link to Touba
The urban area continues without a break into Touba. The seam between the two street patterns is one of the most interesting parts of the map.

Mbaké Map Poster & Print
Mbaké lies in the Diourbel region, in the middle of Senegal's groundnut basin. The land is flat and sandy, with few natural features, so the map is almost entirely made up of streets. The town's older core has irregular lanes. The newer districts are laid out in straight blocks that spread across the plain in every direction.
To the northwest, Mbaké has grown together with Touba, the holy city of the Mouride brotherhood. The two now form a single continuous urban area. On the Mbaké map poster you can see where the older town meets the large, regular expansion around Touba, which is one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the country.
The town is closely linked to the Mbacké family, from which Cheikh Amadou Bamba, the founder of the Mouride order, came. Every year the Grand Magal pilgrimage brings very large crowds through the area. The roads leading toward Touba are therefore an important part of the town's layout.

Mbaké prints are often chosen by families with roots in the town and by people connected to the Mouride community. The link between Mbaké and Touba gives the map personal and spiritual meaning.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, for example with a family name or the year of a Magal, and edit the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits the Sahelian landscape.
