Old town core
The centre is a tight cluster of irregular lanes that grew over time rather than by plan. In black and white it forms the densest, most intricate part of the poster.

Mehkar Map Poster & Print
Mehkar is a town in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra, on the rolling Deccan plateau in the Vidarbha region. Its street plan is typical of an older market town: a dense, irregular core of narrow lanes, from which main roads spread out towards neighbouring towns and villages across the surrounding farmland.
The land around Mehkar is largely agricultural, with the dark soils of the Deccan supporting crops such as cotton and soybean. The town is also within reach of Lonar, whose meteorite crater lake is one of the best-known natural sites in Maharashtra. On a map, Mehkar reads as a clear centre within a wide open landscape.
A Mehkar map poster shows the contrast between the compact old town and the looser layout of newer districts on its edges. The main roads form confident spokes, the lanes of the centre create a fine texture, and the farmland provides calm space. The result is a simple, quietly characterful portrait of a Vidarbha town.

Radiating roads
Main roads lead outward from the centre to surrounding towns and villages. On the map they act like spokes, giving the composition a clear structure around its core.
Plateau farmland
Fields stretch in every direction across the Deccan plateau, leaving generous open space around the town. This emptiness frames the streets and makes the core stand out.
