Merouana Map Poster & Print
Merouana sits in Batna Province in north-eastern Algeria, where the high plains meet the Belezma range at the western edge of the Aurès. The town is compact, with straight streets gathered around a small centre. Its outer edges spread toward orchards and fields, while the mountains rise to the south and east.
The site has a long past. Merouana is identified with Roman Lamasba, known to historians for a Latin inscription that set out how irrigation water was shared among local landowners. Today the area is farming country, and the nearby Belezma National Park protects cedar forests on the higher slopes.
A Merouana map poster captures the neat shape of the town against the rougher lines of the terrain around it. The street pattern is simple and legible, and the surrounding tracks and watercourses add gentle movement at the edges. It is a fitting piece for anyone with roots in the Aurès or an interest in North Africa's Roman sites.

Mountain edge
To the south and east, roads bend and thin out as the ground rises toward the Belezma range, framing the town with emptier upland.
Farmland approaches
Rural roads leading out across the high plains pass orchards and fields, and they draw long lines outward from the compact centre.
