Sebkhet Moknine
The salt lake east of town appears as a wide, empty shape with a softly irregular shoreline. Its blankness balances the dense streets and gives the poster a strong sense of open space.

Moknine Map Poster & Print
Moknine lies in the Tunisian Sahel, a short distance inland from the coast south of Monastir. From above, the town is a tight, rounded mass of streets surrounded by an open landscape of olive groves, with roads radiating out to the neighbouring towns of the region. To the east, the broad, flat shape of the Sebkhet Moknine, a seasonal salt lake, sits between the town and the sea.
The older part of Moknine shows the fine, irregular grain typical of Sahel towns, with narrow lanes that bend and branch rather than following a grid. Around it, newer neighbourhoods spread in more regular blocks along the main roads. The contrast between the dense centre and the looser outer districts is one of the clearest things the map reveals.
The town is known regionally for its crafts, including pottery and traditional jewellery, and for the olive cultivation that shapes the countryside around it. A Moknine map poster captures the town as a compact settlement in a wide agricultural setting, with the pale outline of the sebkha adding a large, quiet shape to one side of the composition.

Dense old lanes
The historic centre is made of narrow, winding passages and small blocks, a fine-grained pattern that reads almost like a texture when printed in black and white.
Radiating country roads
Roads leave the town in several directions toward neighbouring Sahel towns, crossing olive-growing land and giving the map a clear star-like structure at its edges.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Moknine is the kind of place people carry with them after moving away, to Tunis, to Europe or further. A map of its streets and salt lake is a personal, understated way to keep that connection on a wall at home.
The poster can be personalised with a title, subtitle and coordinates line, and printed in one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand in particular suits the dry Sahel landscape. Files come as 300 DPI PNGs and print-ready PDFs.
