Moriyama Map Poster & Print
Moriyama lies on the eastern shore of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture, on a low plain crossed by small rivers flowing down to the water. From above, it combines a compact central district near the railway station with a wide, open pattern of rice paddies, irrigation channels and villages stretching toward the shore.
The Biwako Bridge crosses the narrow southern part of the lake from Moriyama to Ōtsu, and its long straight line stands out on a Moriyama map poster. Along the shore, reed beds, marinas and parks soften the edge of the land. The Yasu River runs nearby, cutting a broad channel across the plain.
In the Edo period, Moriyama was a post town on the Nakasendō, one of the main routes between Kyoto and Edo, and parts of the old road still pass through the city. Today it is known for the fireflies that return to its streams each summer. In black and white, the city's quiet arrangement of water, fields and streets becomes its defining feature.

Lake Biwa shoreline
The eastern shore curves along the city's western side, where inlets, parks and reed beds form a soft boundary between the land and Japan's largest lake.
Paddies and channels
Between the town and the lake, rice fields and irrigation channels form a fine rectangular pattern, dotted with villages and crossed by quiet country roads.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Moriyama suits people who value calm, open landscapes: those who grew up by the lake, commute to Kyoto or Osaka, or remember an evening watching fireflies. Its balance of water and field makes a quiet, spacious poster.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles; Blueprint suits the lake well. Download the $9 HD files in six sizes as PNG and PDF, or order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
