Munnar Map Poster
Munnar lies high in the Western Ghats of Kerala. Its name is usually explained as "three rivers", after the streams that meet in the town. From above, the valley floor holds a small, tight cluster of streets, markets and bridges. Around it, roads loop across steep contours in long switchbacks, following the terrain rather than any plan.
The land around the town is shaped by tea. Estates planted in the colonial era cover the hillsides in rows that follow the slope. Estate roads, factories and worker settlements are spread across the ridges. The result is a scattered map, where small built-up areas break up large stretches of cultivated green and forest.
North of the town, Eravikulam National Park protects high grassland that is home to the Nilgiri tahr, a mountain goat found only in these ranges. Anamudi, the highest peak in southern India, rises nearby. A Munnar map poster turns this terrain into line work: water gathering in the valley and roads climbing out of it in every direction.

Switchback roads
Roads leave the valley in tight bends as they climb toward the estates and viewpoints. Their looping lines are the most distinctive graphic element on the poster.
Tea estate network
Narrow estate tracks branch across the slopes to connect factories and hamlets. From above, they form a loose web over land that is otherwise open and green.
