Dense old core
The centre is a close mesh of narrow, irregular lanes, the kind of street pattern that grows over generations rather than being planned in advance.

Nārnaund Map Poster & Print
Nārnaund is a town in Hisar district of Haryana, on the wide, level plain of northwestern India. From above there is little topography to interrupt the map. A dense core of lanes and houses sits at the centre, main roads leave it toward neighbouring towns, and all around lie fields divided into long, narrow holdings.
The pattern is typical of the Haryana countryside: an older settlement of irregular, closely packed streets, newer building along the approach roads, and a web of farm tracks and small canals serving the surrounding agriculture. Farming dominates the land, and the town acts as a local centre of trade and administration for the villages around it.
A Nārnaund map poster brings out the contrast between the tight knot of the old town and the open, ruled countryside beyond. In black and white, the fine tracery of lanes looks almost like lace, with the straighter roads and field edges framing it neatly on every side of the print.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave the town in several directions toward neighbouring towns and villages, giving the map a clear, star-like structure around its centre.
Field patchwork
Around the town, farmland is divided into long rectangular plots with tracks and small channels between them, a steady pattern along the poster's edges.

Many people from Haryana live far from the towns they grew up in, whether in Delhi, abroad or elsewhere in India. A map of Nārnaund is a simple, personal reminder of home, specific enough that anyone from the area will recognise it immediately.
