N’Gaous Map Poster & Print
N’Gaous lies in Batna province in northeastern Algeria, where the Aurès highlands meet the lower country leading towards the Hodna basin. The town sits in a valley surrounded by dry, bare hills, and on a map the contrast is striking: a compact urban centre, a band of orchards and gardens around it, then open, rugged country beyond.
The orchards are the town’s identity. N’Gaous is known throughout Algeria for its apricots, and its name appears on a well-known brand of fruit juice. Irrigation channels and small plots form a fine pattern around the settlement. The area also has deep roots: Roman-era stelae found nearby are studied by historians of ancient North African religion.
An N’Gaous map poster captures a town shaped by water in dry country: dense streets at the centre, a soft ring of cultivated land and the contours of the surrounding hills. It makes a thoughtful print for families from the Aurès and for anyone who associates the name with summer fruit.

Old centre
At the heart of N’Gaous, older streets form a tight, irregular pattern that differs clearly from the straighter roads of more recent expansion.
Surrounding hills
Dry ridges and slopes rise around the valley, shown as layered contour lines that give the map depth and frame the cultivated land inside.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Many Algerians know N’Gaous by its apricots, but for those born there it is a specific set of streets, gardens and hills. The map keeps that place in view, wherever life has since led.
Choose a title and subtitle, perhaps a family name and a year, adjust the coordinates line, and select Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the dry hills particularly well. Six print sizes come with every digital order.
