Planned street grid
Orestiáda's regular pattern of straight streets and rectangular blocks, laid out in the 1920s, gives the poster a clean, almost architectural look.

Orestiáda Map Poster & Print
Orestiáda is the northernmost town of any size in Greece's Evros region, close to where the Evros river marks the border with Turkey. It is a young town: it was founded in the 1920s by Greek refugees from Adrianople, today Edirne, just across the border, after the population exchange that followed the Greco-Turkish war.
That origin shows clearly on the map. Instead of a tangle of old lanes, Orestiáda has a planned layout of straight streets and regular blocks, with broad avenues and open squares. Around the town the plain of northern Evros is flat and cultivated, and the fields form long rectangles that echo the grid of the streets.
An Orestiáda map poster is one of the tidiest compositions you can put on a wall: an orderly street plan, the wide agricultural plain around it and, toward the east, the course of the Evros. It tells the story of a town built quickly and deliberately by people starting again.

Evros borderland
The Evros river runs to the east of town, marking the Greek-Turkish border and adding a meandering line to the wider map area.
Thracian plain
Flat, cultivated fields stretch around the town in long strips and rectangles, a landscape that mirrors the geometry of the streets.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Many families in Orestiáda trace their roots to Adrianople, and a map of the town speaks to that shared history. Others simply like the calm order of the grid, which looks especially good in the Blueprint or Classic styles.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF for $9, or order a framed print.
