Paippad Map Poster & Print
Paippad is in Kottayam district, Kerala, close to the town of Changanassery. It lies on the edge of the Kuttanad region, where rivers, canals and paddy fields cover much of the land. On a map, the settlement is spread out rather than concentrated, with houses along roads and waterways and fields filling the space in between.
Water shapes the map here. Rivers and canals wind across the landscape, and field boundaries follow the line of the water. Roads are narrow and often follow the banks, so the street pattern is irregular and branching, typical of the densely settled but rural areas of central Kerala.
Paippad is known in the region for its traditional boat race, held on the local waters. A Paippad map poster captures this landscape of water, fields and homes, where the finest details come from the channels and the paths that follow them rather than from a town centre.

Paddy fields
Open fields between the waterways create broad, calm areas on the poster, contrasting with the finer detail of roads and houses.
Scattered settlement
Homes line the roads and banks rather than forming a single centre, giving the map an even, spread-out texture typical of rural Kerala.
