Streets on contours
The main streets follow the easiest lines through the hilly ground. The result is gentle curves and uneven blocks where a planner's ruler would have drawn a grid.

Panelas Map Poster & Print
Panelas lies in the agreste of Pernambuco, the transitional belt between the humid coastal zone and the dry sertão further inland. The country is rolling and cut by small valleys. On a map the town fits itself to this terrain, with streets that curve around rises and gather along the lower ground, not laid out on one even pattern.
At its centre the blocks are small and closely built. They cluster around the older streets, where the town's commercial and civic life has traditionally been concentrated. Further out, the roads thin into routes that run across farmland and toward neighbouring municipalities, following the contours of the land wherever it allows.
A Panelas map poster captures a type of place that is common in the Brazilian interior but rarely drawn for its own sake: a modest town shaped by hills, farming and the roads that connect it to the region. The result is an organic, slightly irregular composition that feels very different from a planned city grid.

Compact centre
The oldest part of town packs its streets closely together and forms a dense core. Everything else on the map spreads out from there.
Roads into the agreste
Beyond the built-up area, a few roads wind across the countryside and link Panelas with the surrounding farms and towns of inland Pernambuco.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Many people from the Pernambuco interior live far from where they grew up, in Recife, São Paulo or abroad. A clean map of their home town is a quiet reminder of its streets and hills, and it makes a thoughtful gift for relatives who stayed.
You can edit the title and subtitle, add a date such as a birthday or a family reunion, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand to fit the room where it will hang.
