The oldest streets sit on higher ground, forming a compact core with short blocks and several angled junctions where roads from different directions meet.

Pará de Minas Map Poster & Print
Pará de Minas lies in central Minas Gerais, a short drive west of Belo Horizonte, on the rolling terrain typical of the region. From above, the centre is a knot of short, angled streets on higher ground, with newer neighbourhoods spreading along ridges and into the valleys around them, following the land rather than a strict plan.
The town serves as a regional centre for the surrounding countryside, with farming and industry both playing a part in its economy. Like many towns in the state, it grew outward from an old centre, and the main roads leaving that centre became the lines along which much of the later growth took place.
A Pará de Minas map poster shows the character of an inland Brazilian town shaped by hills: irregular blocks, streets that bend to meet the slope, and green gaps where the land is too steep to build. Printed in black and white, those shapes form a quiet, detailed pattern.

Ridge-line growth
Newer neighbourhoods extend along ridges and down the slopes, so the street network stretches out in several arms rather than filling a neat circle.
Highway approach
The main road toward Belo Horizonte passes the town, a smooth line on the map that contrasts with the tight, winding streets of the centre.
