Perrysburg Map Poster & Print
Perrysburg lies on the south bank of the Maumee River a few miles upstream from Toledo. From above, the river is the first thing you see: a wide curving band with islands and bridges. The old town is a neat grid of blocks set back from the water, and newer subdivisions spread south and east across flat northwest Ohio farmland.
The town was surveyed in 1816 and named after Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, who won the Battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812. Just upriver is the site of Fort Meigs, an American fort that held out against two sieges in 1813. The fort has been reconstructed and is now a historic site.
A Perrysburg map poster puts the ordered early plan right next to the looser river line. The gridded historic district sits against the Maumee, bridges tie it to the town on the far bank, and the outer streets fan out into curving suburban patterns. It is a clear picture of how a river town grows.

For people from Perrysburg, the grid by the river is instantly recognisable. It makes a good gift for someone leaving northwest Ohio or for a family marking years in the same house near the water.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with a wedding date or home address. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
