Compact town core
The older streets are tightly packed in a small area, forming a dense centre. Newer blocks and farm plots extend outwards from it.

Qārah Map Poster & Print
Qārah is a town in the Qalamoun region of the Rif Dimashq governorate, on the high plateau north of Damascus. The land is open and dry, with bare ridges rising towards the Anti-Lebanon mountains to the west. From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets, with orchards and fields spreading out around it.
The main highway between Damascus and Homs passes right by the town, and on the map it appears as a long, confident line alongside the older street pattern. Just outside Qārah stands the Monastery of Saint James the Mutilated, an old Christian monastic site that was restored in recent decades and is known well beyond the region.
A Qārah map poster records the real form of the town: its compact core, the highway corridor and the plateau around it. For families from the Qalamoun, many of whom now live elsewhere, it is a clear, quiet reminder of a specific place and landscape.

Damascus–Homs highway
The main north–south highway runs beside the town. Its long, straight course contrasts with the irregular local streets and sets the map's orientation.
Plateau and ridges
Open land and low, dry ridges surround Qārah. They leave wide, empty areas on the print that emphasise the town's isolation on the plateau.
