Railway spine
The commuter line toward Japeri cuts a straight path through town, and the densest streets cluster around the station. This gives the map a clear central axis that everything else seems to lean toward.

Queimados Map Poster & Print
Queimados lies in the Baixada Fluminense, the broad lowland that stretches north and west of Rio de Janeiro toward the foot of the coastal ranges. From above, the town is a patchwork of residential blocks laid out in short, slightly shifting grids. Each neighbourhood follows its own road rather than a single master plan, and open ground and low wooded rises break up the texture between them.
Two lines give the map its structure. The suburban railway toward Japeri crosses the municipality, and the busiest streets gather around its station. The Presidente Dutra highway, the main road between Rio and São Paulo, runs past on its own wide corridor. Queimados belonged to Nova Iguaçu until it became a separate municipality in 1990, and its layout still shows how it grew outward from these transport lines.
A Queimados map poster turns this working suburban landscape into a clear, readable pattern: the steady line of the railway, the long sweep of the highway and the dense clusters of streets that fill the spaces between them. In black and white it becomes a quiet portrait of a place most people know from daily commutes rather than from postcards, and one that means a great deal to those who live there.

Dutra corridor
The Presidente Dutra highway sweeps across the municipality on a wide, gently curving alignment. Its strong line contrasts with the fine grain of the residential streets on either side.
Green edges
Toward the edges of the municipality the street network thins into open land and low hills, so the built-up area appears as a distinct island of detail on the poster.
