Raigarh Map Poster & Print
Raigarh lies in the east of Chhattisgarh, close to the border with Odisha, on the banks of the Kelo River. On a map the river curves along the town's edge, while the main railway line between Mumbai and Howrah runs straight through it, separating older neighbourhoods from newer residential colonies and industrial areas.
The town was once the seat of a princely state whose rulers were notable patrons of music and dance. The court of Maharaja Chakradhar Singh gave rise to the Raigarh gharana of Kathak, and the annual Chakradhar Samaroh festival still honours that legacy. In recent decades steel and power plants have made Raigarh an industrial centre for the region.
A Raigarh map poster shows the layers of this history: the dense, irregular streets of the old town, the straight line of the railway, the planned grids of later colonies and the large industrial sites at the edges. Hills and forest rise in the surroundings, softening the outer parts of the map.

Old town lanes
In the older core around the markets, streets are narrow and irregular, in contrast to the regular residential layouts on the outskirts of town.
