Compact town core
The central streets form a tight, fairly regular pattern, which stands out clearly against the empty agricultural land around it.

Râs el Oued Map Poster & Print
Râs el Oued lies in Bordj Bou Arréridj Province, in the high plateau region of northeastern Algeria. The area is broad, high farmland, with long stretches of cereal fields and only low relief in the distance. On a map the town appears as a compact built-up block, with roads leading out in several directions across the open land.
Detailed history in English is limited, so this description stays with the landscape. Like many plateau towns, Râs el Oued has a fairly regular core of streets, newer districts at its edges and a surrounding area of fields divided into large parcels. Its position makes it a local centre for the farms around it.
A Râs el Oued map poster uses a lot of empty space. The dense town sits at the centre, and the thin lines of roads and field boundaries spread out toward the edges. The result is a spare, balanced picture well suited to black and white.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave the town toward the surrounding area in long, straight lines that link it to other towns on the plateau.
Plateau fields
Large cereal fields cover the land around the town, and their long boundaries add faint geometric lines to the outer parts of the map.
