Dense old core
At the centre, lanes are narrow and blocks are small. This gives the poster its darkest, most detailed area, surrounded by lighter, more open ground.

Rāth Map Poster & Print
Rāth is a town in Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh, part of the wider Bundelkhand region. The land around it is mostly flat and agricultural. The town's footprint is compact. Its centre is a tight knot of lanes and small plots, surrounded by looser development where streets gradually become field tracks.
Bundelkhand is known for its historic reservoirs and tanks, and ponds of different sizes appear in and around many of its towns. On a map these water bodies show up as clean, irregular shapes that break up the street network. Main roads cross the town and connect it with neighbouring district centres.
A Rāth map poster keeps to what the map actually shows: a close-grained core, roads leading out across the plain and the open spaces of water and farmland. It is a plain, readable image of a north Indian market town, not an idealised one.

Tanks and ponds
Water bodies of different sizes sit in and around the town. They appear as smooth, irregular shapes that contrast with the fine street texture.
Roads across the plain
Regional roads run straight out over flat farmland. They tie the town to the rest of the district and pull the eye to the edges of the frame.
