Romen and Sula confluence
The meeting of the two rivers gives the town its name and forms the most distinctive feature of the map, with water curving around the built-up area.

Romny Map Poster & Print
Romny lies in Sumy Oblast in north-eastern Ukraine, where the small Romen river flows into the Sula. The town is old: it appears in chronicles from the late eleventh century, and over the centuries it grew into a regional trading centre on the left-bank Ukrainian plains.
From above, the rivers and their wide, marshy floodplains dominate. The Sula winds in loose curves, bordered by meadows and wetland, while the town rises on higher ground above them. Streets fan out from the centre, and the pattern shifts between older irregular areas and later, more regular blocks.
A Romny map poster shows a town defined by water and slope. The winding Sula and the Romen confluence give the composition natural curves, while the denser street pattern on the higher ground balances the open floodplain. It is a map that feels rooted in its landscape.

Floodplain meadows
Wide low-lying meadows and wetland along the Sula appear as open space, contrasting sharply with the denser streets on higher ground.
Old town core
The historic centre, with its irregular streets, sits above the rivers and forms the heart of the composition.
