Hilltop hamlets
Small clusters of buildings appear across the map, often on raised ground, so the commune reads as a constellation of hamlets rather than a single town centre.

Sadabe Map Poster & Print
Sadabe is a rural commune in the Analamanga region, in Madagascar's central highlands north-east of Antananarivo. It does not look like a town in the usual sense. From above, it is a scattering of small settlements linked by tracks and minor roads, spread across rolling hills and low valleys typical of the high plateau.
The shape of the map comes from the land. Settlements tend to sit on higher ground, while the valley bottoms, in this part of Madagascar, are commonly given over to rice cultivation. Paths follow ridgelines and cross the lower land where they must, creating long, curving lines rather than any regular pattern.
A Sadabe map poster is a portrait of the highland countryside rather than a street plan. Its beauty is in the thin, wandering linework and the generous empty space around it. For people from the commune, it shows the ground they know well, and for others it offers a quiet, unusual glimpse of rural Madagascar.

Winding rural tracks
Minor roads and paths curve with the contours of the hills, linking villages in long, gentle lines that give the poster its soft, flowing character.
Valley floors
The low, flat ground between the hills remains mostly unbuilt, and the open areas on the poster suggest the cultivated valleys characteristic of the central highlands.

For families from Sadabe and those who have worked or volunteered in the area, this map preserves a place that rarely appears in print. Its sparse, delicate lines suit calm interiors, and it becomes a conversation piece about a region few people know.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px watermarked preview lets you check the composition before buying the $9 HD files or a printed poster.
