Saint-Avertin Map Poster & Print
Saint-Avertin lies immediately south of Tours in the Indre-et-Loire department, on the banks of the Cher shortly before it joins the Loire. The river forms the northern boundary of the commune, and on the map its channels, islands and riverside green spaces create a broad, flowing band along the top of the town.
South of the river, the land rises gently, and the street pattern shifts from an older core near the water to later residential neighbourhoods built in curving roads and cul-de-sacs. Main routes towards Tours cross the Cher on bridges, and the suburban fabric runs continuously into neighbouring communes.
A Saint-Avertin map poster presents a place that is part of the Tours area yet keeps its own shape. The Cher is the anchor, and the residential grain to the south, with its mix of old lanes and newer loops, fills the rest of the frame.

Bridges towards Tours
Road crossings over the Cher connect the commune to Tours, and their straight lines stitch the two sides of the river together.
Residential slopes
South of the river, streets climb gently in curving patterns of houses and gardens, typical of suburban growth in the Loire Valley.
