Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin
The sheltered bay off the north coast, protected by a coral reef and fringed with mangroves, gives the map a wide expanse of water dotted with small islet outlines.

Sainte-Rose Map Poster & Print
Sainte-Rose occupies the northern tip of Basse-Terre, the mountainous western wing of Guadeloupe. From above it is a stretched, coastal place: a small town centre by the sea, hamlets strung along the shoreline road, and behind them the rising green slopes that climb toward the island's volcanic interior. The map is defined as much by water as by streets.
Offshore lies the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin, the broad shallow bay between Guadeloupe's two main islands, sheltered by a barrier reef and edged with mangroves. Small islets sit within it, and on a map they appear as scattered outlines in the open water. Inland, the forests belong to the Guadeloupe National Park, where roads thin out and stop.
A Sainte-Rose map poster works because of that balance. The coastline curves across the sheet, the town gathers in one spot along it, and the rest of the composition is sea and slope. Sugar cane and rum have long been part of the local economy, and fishing boats still work from the harbour.

Coastal road
A single road follows the shoreline, linking the town centre with hamlets along the coast. On the poster it traces the edge of the land like a drawn contour.
Rising interior
South of the coast the land climbs into forested volcanic hills. Roads become sparse and end, leaving large quiet areas that give the composition space to breathe.
