Organic lanes
The town's streets branch and curve according to old paths and plot lines rather than a plan. This produces an irregular, hand-drawn look on the poster.

Sāram Map Poster & Print
Sāram lies on the Chota Nagpur Plateau in Jharkhand, a region of undulating ground, red soils, woodland patches and farmland. On a map the town looks informal. Lanes branch off a few main roads, and houses cluster along them before thinning into fields. There is no imposed grid here. The street pattern has grown gradually from paths and local routes.
The plateau around the town is crossed by small streams and seasonal watercourses, and ponds and tanks show up as small pale shapes. Village roads fan out in several directions and link Sāram to the countryside. The result is a web of fine lines with a slightly denser centre, spreading across a broad and open frame.
A Sāram map poster is best suited to people with a direct connection to the place: those who were born here, whose families farm nearby, or who left for work in larger cities. Its loose, branching roads have a quiet graphic quality, and the print records how a plateau town fits into the land around it.

Plateau countryside
Around the built-up area, fields and patches of tree cover fill the frame. Thin rural roads cross them and lead out toward neighbouring villages.
Tanks and streams
Small ponds and watercourses appear as light, rounded shapes and fine lines, adding quiet detail to the otherwise open plateau.

For families spread between Jharkhand and India's big cities, a map of the home town keeps a connection that photographs alone do not. It shows the lanes to the market, the fields and the roads home in one simple, calm picture.
