Schwyz Map Poster & Print
Schwyz is the capital of the canton of Schwyz in central Switzerland. It gave the whole country its name and its flag. The town sits on a gently sloping plain between the two Mythen peaks to the east and the shores of Lake Lucerne and Lake Lauerz nearby. The centre is small, with streets gathered around the main square and the baroque parish church.
From above, the old core gives way to scattered houses, orchards and meadows that climb towards the mountains. The Federal Charter of 1291, one of the founding documents of the Swiss Confederation, is kept here in the Bundesbriefmuseum. Roads fan out from the centre towards Brunnen on the lake and into the neighbouring valleys.
A Schwyz map poster shows a place of national importance at a very small scale. It suits people with ties to central Switzerland, anyone interested in how the Confederation began, and hikers who know the Mythen trails. The steep terrain around the town gives the map depth even in simple black line work.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Schwyz is where the Swiss name and flag come from, which makes it a meaningful choice for Swiss households at home and abroad. For locals it is simply the town below the Mythen, and the map shows both.
Set your own title and subtitle, perhaps a family name and year, and edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper gives the meadows and old town a gentle look.
