Atlantic shoreline
To the south, the ocean meets a long, even beach. On a monochrome map it forms a clean straight edge along the bottom of the frame.

Semi Map Poster & Print
Semi is in the Ouémé department of southern Benin, near the coast between Cotonou and Porto-Novo. The land here is a narrow barrier, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and lagoons and wetlands on the other. From above, the town is shaped by that strip: long parallel lines of coast, road and water run east to west.
The main coastal road carries traffic between Cotonou and the Nigerian border. Neighbourhoods have grown on both sides, with a dense, irregular pattern of plots and lanes. The shoreline to the south is almost perfectly straight sand. To the north, the land breaks up into channels, marsh and the open water of the lagoon near Porto-Novo.
A Semi map poster captures a setting that is very different from a typical inland town. The layout runs parallel to the sea, the water lies on two sides, and development is squeezed between them. It is a map that people from this coast recognise immediately.

Lagoon and wetland
North of the settlement, lagoons, channels and marsh break the land into irregular shapes. They create a softer, more complicated edge than the coast.
The coastal road
The main road runs east to west along the barrier strip. Neighbourhoods line it, and it links the area to Cotonou and toward Nigeria.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
The coast between Cotonou and Porto-Novo is home to a growing number of families, and many people from the area now live abroad. A map of Semi, water on both sides, is a direct reminder of that setting.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a quarter's name or a year, and edit the coordinates. Blueprint and Noir emphasise the ocean and lagoon. Paper and Classic black and white give a more restrained result.
