Meeting of tracks
Unpaved roads converge on the settlement from several directions, forming a simple star-like pattern that becomes the focal point of the print.

Songwa Map Poster & Print
Songwa lies in the Shinyanga Region of northern Tanzania, on the broad plateau south of Lake Victoria. The surrounding country is largely open, with farmland, grazing land and scattered homesteads. From above, the settlement appears as a loose cluster of plots and dirt roads rather than a dense town centre.
The landscape of this part of Tanzania is gently rolling, with seasonal watercourses that fill during the rains and granite outcrops that break the horizon in places. On a map these features appear as thin, branching lines and scattered shapes across an otherwise open surface.
A Songwa map poster is necessarily a quiet one. It shows a pattern of tracks meeting at a central point, fields marked out around homes, and the wide spaces between neighbouring villages. For someone connected to the place, that simplicity is exactly what makes the print personal.

Open plateau
Much of the map is open land, which gives the poster generous white space and lets the few lines present stand out clearly.
Seasonal watercourses
Thin drainage lines cross the surrounding land, marking where water runs during the rainy season on this broad upland.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
A map of Songwa is usually a personal choice, made by someone who lived, worked or grew up there, or by family abroad who want a reminder of home. The sparse lines make a calm, uncluttered print.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, such as a family name or a year, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the colours of the plateau.
