Torremaggiore Map Poster & Print
Torremaggiore lies in the province of Foggia in northern Apulia, on the slopes where the wide Tavoliere plain meets the first hills of the Daunian Subapennines. The town grew around a castle that later became the residence of the Di Sangro family, and it still anchors the historic centre.
From above, the old core is a tight cluster of streets curving around the castle, surrounded by newer, more regular blocks. Beyond the town, olive groves and vineyards spread across the countryside in fine strips. A Torremaggiore map poster captures this progression, from the dense medieval centre to open, cultivated land.
The town's territory also includes the site of Castel Fiorentino, where Emperor Frederick II died in 1250. Little of it remains today, but the story adds historical depth to a map that is otherwise all farmland, roads and the soft outline of a small Apulian town.

Olives and vines
Around the town, narrow fields of olive trees and vineyards divide the land into fine strips that give the outer map a delicate texture.
Castel Fiorentino
Within the municipality lies the site where Frederick II died in 1250, a small place on the map with a large place in medieval history.
