Field geometry
Rice fields and plots are divided by straight lines of roads and channels, creating a regular, almost woven pattern across much of the map.

Tulangan Utara Map Poster & Print
Tulangan Utara lies in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, on the low, flat land of the Brantas delta south of Surabaya. There are no hills to bend the streets here. Roads run straight between fields, and settlements line up along them, so the map reads as a set of strips and clusters laid across an open plain.
Water shapes the area in small ways. Irrigation channels and drainage ditches run beside many roads, dividing the land into long rectangular plots. Between them, village houses gather in compact blocks with narrow alleys, each cluster separated from the next by fields.
This is a place best described by its pattern and not by a single landmark. A Tulangan Utara map poster turns that agricultural geometry into something graphic: fine parallel lines, dense pockets of housing and the open spaces between them, the typical texture of the East Javanese lowlands.

Delta flatness
With no relief to follow, roads keep long straight runs, which gives the whole composition a calm, orderly character on paper.
