Compact town grid
Valente's centre is a tight set of streets and blocks. It is clearly separated from the open land around it, so the town has a distinct outline from above.

Valente Map Poster & Print
Valente is in the semi-arid interior of Bahia, in north-east Brazil. On a map, the town is a compact grid of streets surrounded by wide, lightly settled land. Dirt and paved roads run outward to farms and nearby communities, and the dry climate leaves the landscape largely open around the built-up core.
The municipality is closely linked with sisal, the hardy fibre plant grown across this part of the Bahian sertão. Cooperatives in the area have become known for their work on sisal production and rural development. A Valente map poster reflects that setting: a small urban centre in a working agricultural landscape.
In black and white, the print highlights how the town is concentrated. A dense block of streets sits in the middle, and long roads fade out toward the edges. It is a quiet image of a place defined as much by its surroundings as by its centre.

Sertão surroundings
The semi-arid countryside leaves wide empty areas on the map. Only scattered roads and small settlements break up the space around the town.
Roads to the farms
Routes leave the centre toward the fields and neighbouring communities. They trace the connections that support the area's agricultural economy.
