Veys lies on the broad lowland of Khuzestan, northwest of Ahvaz, not far from the Karun, Iran's largest river by volume. The map is shaped by flatness. The built-up area is compact, with a mix of straighter planned streets and older, more irregular lanes. Main roads connect it to Ahvaz and the other towns of the region.
