Vinh Map Poster & Print
Vinh is the capital of Nghệ An Province, set on the north bank of the Lam River a short distance inland from the South China Sea. On the map the river forms the city's southern boundary, and the streets spread north and west across flat land, with the small peak of Dũng Quyết rising beside the riverbank.
The city was heavily bombed during the war and largely rebuilt afterwards, partly with assistance from East Germany, which helped create the Quang Trung housing blocks. That reconstruction gave Vinh broad, straight avenues and a more regular layout than many Vietnamese cities of its size. Near the centre, the moat of the old Vinh citadel remains visible.
The surrounding province is known as the home region of Hồ Chí Minh, who was born in a village not far from the city. A Vinh map poster captures the transition from riverside to plain, the regular avenues of the rebuilt centre and the scattered lakes and parks set among them.

Vinh citadel
The old citadel's square moat still survives near the centre, an unmistakable geometric shape surrounded by the later streets and blocks of the city.
Rebuilt avenues
Post-war reconstruction left wide, straight roads and planned residential blocks, which give the centre a clear and orderly appearance at poster scale.

Vinh matters to people from Nghệ An and to anyone who has stopped here on the long journey between Hanoi and central Vietnam. The river edge and the geometric citadel together make a quietly distinctive map for a home or office.
Personalise it with a family name, a hometown line or a date, and edit the coordinates beneath. Select Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room where it will hang.
