Vypīn Map Poster & Print
Vypīn is part of a thin island that runs north from the harbour mouth at Kochi, with the Arabian Sea on one side and the backwaters of Kerala on the other. On a map it looks almost like a ribbon. A main road runs up its length, with a narrow band of houses, coconut groves, fishing settlements and small lanes on each side.
At its southern tip, Vypīn faces Fort Kochi across the narrow channel that ships use to enter Kochi harbour, and ferries cross back and forth. To the east, the Goshree bridges link the island to Ernakulam on the mainland, which ended its long reliance on boats. The sea beach on the western side forms one continuous edge, straight and uninterrupted.
A Vypīn map poster captures that rare shape: land that is never more than a short walk from water. The black lines of lanes and roads fill the thin strip, while the sea, the harbour channel and the backwaters stay open and pale. It is a map you understand at once, and it reads well at any size.

Harbour mouth channel
The southern tip looks across a narrow channel to Fort Kochi. It is the entrance to one of India's major ports, and ferries have crossed it for generations.
Goshree bridges
A chain of bridges links Vypīn to Ernakulam through small backwater islands. On the map they appear as a thin line of road crossing open water.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
For anyone from Kochi, the island is a familiar shape. It carries memories of ferry rides, fishing boats and evenings on the beach, and a poster of it works just as well in a flat in Ernakulam as in a home far from Kerala.
Add your own title, a subtitle and a meaningful date, and keep or edit the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Get the digital files for $9 or order a printed poster, with a wooden frame if you like.
