Yaloké Map Poster & Print
Yaloké lies in the Ombella-M'Poko prefecture of the Central African Republic, on the main road that leads west from Bangui toward the Cameroon border. On the map the town takes its shape from that route: a line of streets and compounds along the road, with smaller lanes branching off into the surrounding neighbourhoods and fields.
The countryside around Yaloké is wooded savanna, crossed by streams that run through low, gently rolling terrain. Much of the land is farmed in small plots, and the map shows it as open space marked by footpaths and tracks that connect the town to outlying villages. Little here follows a rigid plan, which gives the poster a soft, organic quality.
A Yaloké map poster is a rare thing, since places of this size seldom appear on printed maps at all. It is chosen by people with family in the town or the prefecture, and by those who worked in the region and want to remember its roads. The minimal style keeps the image honest and clear.

Branching lanes
Smaller streets and paths leave the main road for the residential areas, forming an irregular, tree-like pattern around the town.
Savanna and streams
Beyond the houses, wooded savanna and small watercourses fill the frame. They appear as quiet space crossed by fine lines of tracks and water.
