The Yaran River
The river curves past the town through meadows and low ground. Its winding course is the main natural feature on the map and softens the straight streets.

Yaransk Map Poster & Print
Yaransk is a town in the southwest of Kirov Oblast, on the Yaran River, in a region of forests and farmland. It was founded in the late sixteenth century as a fortified outpost and later became a district town. Its map shows a mostly regular street plan on the river's bank, typical of Russian provincial towns that were reorganised in later centuries.
The river winds through low-lying land beside the town, with floodplain meadows along its banks. Streets approach the water in parallel rows. Churches and older merchant buildings mark the historic centre, and wooden houses fill many of the quieter residential blocks.
A Yaransk map poster pairs the order of the street grid with the looseness of the river. The blocks form a clear, readable pattern. The Yaran brings in a soft curving line, and the fields and woods beyond the town leave wide open space around the whole design.

Regular street plan
Most of the town is laid out in straight, parallel streets forming rectangular blocks, a planned pattern common in Russian provincial towns.
Historic centre
The older core near the river holds churches and merchant-era buildings. It gives the town's layout a centre of gravity.

For families with roots in the Vyatka region, this map is a quiet tribute to a small old town that people often leave but rarely forget. Add a family name, a birth year or the town's name in Cyrillic.
Five styles are available: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper suits the town's age, while Blueprint makes the grid crisp. You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line.
