Yeysk Spit
A narrow tongue of sand runs out from the town into the sea, and its tapering shape is one of the most distinctive outlines on the Azov coast.

Yeysk Map Poster & Print
Yeysk stands on the northern edge of Krasnodar Krai, at the point where the coast turns and a long sandy spit reaches into the water. On a map the town is bounded almost entirely by shoreline: Taganrog Bay on one side, the shallow Yeysk estuary on the other and the open Sea of Azov beyond. Inside those edges, the streets follow a straight nineteenth-century grid.
The town was founded in 1848 on the initiative of Prince Mikhail Vorontsov as a trading port for grain from the surrounding steppe, and the regular plan of its old centre dates from that period. Later it became a popular resort, known for warm, shallow water, beaches along the spit and sanatoriums.
A Yeysk map poster captures the rare geometry of a town held between two bodies of water. The long, tapering spit extends away from the grid like a pointer, and the soft, irregular coastline of the estuary contrasts with the straight lines of the streets. The result is simple, balanced and unmistakably coastal.

Nineteenth-century grid
The old centre keeps the regular rectangular plan laid out after the town's founding in 1848, with long parallel streets running toward the water.
Yeysk Estuary
The shallow estuary on the town's landward side opens up a broad expanse of water, framing the streets with a second, gentler shoreline.

Many families spent their summers in Yeysk, and the map carries that memory of beaches, warm water and long evenings on the spit. It also appeals to anyone who likes coastlines that make a strong graphic shape on the wall.
