Chhota Gobindpur Map Poster & Print
Chhota Gobindpur is a census town in East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, just beyond the southeastern side of Jamshedpur. On a map it belongs to the wider spread of the steel city, but it has its own irregular grain. Instead of the planned avenues of the company town next door, it has winding lanes, clusters of housing and small plots.
Jamshedpur grew around the Tata steel works founded in the early twentieth century. Neighbouring settlements such as Chhota Gobindpur expanded as the industrial region drew workers and their families. The result is a map where old village roads meet newer housing blocks, and where you can still see the line between town and countryside.
The Chhota Gobindpur map poster captures that in-between character. Main roads appear as firm strokes leading back toward the city. The finer streets fill the space between them in uneven, hand-drawn-looking shapes. It is a personal map for people who grew up here or whose family history runs through the Jamshedpur area.

Organic lane network
Instead of a regular grid, the streets follow older paths and plot lines. Their curves and dead ends read as a fine, irregular texture in black and white.
Open land at the edge
Toward the outer parts of the frame, the built area thins into open ground and the hilly country of the Chota Nagpur plateau. This gives the design room to breathe.
