Santomera lies just north-east of the city of Murcia, where the flat, irrigated huerta of the Segura valley meets drier, hillier ground. From above, the town is a compact grid of streets with newer blocks extending outward, bordered by orchards and fields crossed by irrigation channels and small roads.
North of the town, the land rises toward the hills and the Santomera reservoir, a pale shape among the dry slopes. The huerta around the town has long been farmed for citrus and vegetables, and its network of acequias and plots gives the surrounding map a finely divided texture.
A Santomera map poster brings together these two landscapes in one frame: the dense town, the patchwork of fields to the south, and the emptier hills with the reservoir above. It is a small plan with a clear sense of geography, well suited to a clean monochrome print.

South of the town, irrigated plots, channels and farm roads form a fine mosaic. On the map this area is full of small, irregular shapes that contrast with the urban blocks.
