South River Map Poster & Print
South River is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, named after the river that runs along its side before joining the Raritan. From above it reads as a small, closely packed town. It has a grid of short residential blocks and a main commercial street, and the river's marshy banks form a soft natural edge where the streets simply stop.
The area's clay deposits supported brickmaking and related industries in the nineteenth century, and the borough later drew many immigrant families, particularly from Eastern Europe. That era left a dense, walkable street pattern with houses set close together. At poster scale the layout looks almost woven, with every block holding the same fine rhythm of narrow lots.
Around the borough, the map opens into the wider suburban road network of central New Jersey, with larger highways passing nearby. A South River map poster keeps the focus tight on the neat mesh of local streets and the curving line of the river, which gives the town its name and one of its edges.

Tight residential blocks
Short blocks and narrow lots fill most of the borough, creating a fine, even texture of lines that reads well at every print size.
Main street spine
A central commercial street runs through the town and anchors the side streets that branch off it in both directions, holding the whole pattern together.

Miksi South River
Kartta, jolla on merkitystä
South River is the kind of town people stay connected to long after they leave: a church, a school, a particular block. A map poster holds that familiarity in a simple graphic form, suited to a hallway, a kitchen or a gift for a relative who grew up there.
The title and subtitle can carry a surname or a year, and the coordinates line can be changed too. Pick from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download the $9 HD files in six print sizes, or order a printed poster with an optional frame.
