Ad Dilam lies in the Riyadh Region, south of the Saudi capital and not far from Al-Kharj. It belongs to an area where groundwater has long supported agriculture in otherwise arid terrain, and the map reflects that directly: a modest town surrounded by cultivated plots, palm groves and farm tracks, with open desert never far beyond.
The town itself is laid out in a largely regular pattern of blocks and wide roads, typical of Saudi towns that expanded in recent decades.
