Ang mapa
Água Preta Map Poster & Print
Água Preta lies in the Zona da Mata of southern Pernambuco, the humid coastal hinterland long devoted to sugarcane. From above, the town is a compact grid of streets on uneven ground, surrounded by rolling fields. Rivers and streams wind through the valleys nearby, and the green of cultivated land dominates the space around the built-up area.
The street pattern is typical of an interior town in the region: a main axis through the centre, a church and square as its focal point, and residential streets branching off where the slopes allow. Roads lead out toward neighbouring towns such as Palmares and to the plantations that shaped the local economy.
An Água Preta map poster keeps this outline clean and legible. The streets become a fine pattern of lines, rivers appear as soft curves, and the surrounding agricultural land stays mostly open. It is a modest picture of a modest town, which is exactly why it carries weight for people who know it.

Valley streams
Small rivers and streams wind through the low ground around the town, drawing curved lines that soften the geometry of the streets.
Cane-field country
Beyond the last houses the map opens into farmland, leaving a wide pale border around the town that highlights its compact form.
