Ang mapa
Badger Map Poster & Print
Badger is a census-designated community in the Fairbanks North Star Borough of interior Alaska, between Fairbanks and North Pole. It is not a town with a single centre. It is a broad stretch of homes on wooded lots, linked by long roads and bounded by the Chena and Tanana river country.
The map reflects life in the subarctic. Main roads run straight for miles, side roads branch off to clusters of houses, and large areas of forest, muskeg and ponds stay undeveloped. The Richardson Highway runs nearby, connecting the area to Fairbanks in one direction and North Pole in the other.
A Badger map poster offers a very different image from a typical city grid. Long lines and scattered branches spread across the frame, with rivers and sloughs weaving through the open ground. It is spare, almost architectural, and suits a place where winter is long and space is generous.

River country
The Chena and Tanana river systems and their sloughs curve through the lowlands and add organic lines to a largely geometric map.
Wooded lots
Houses sit on large forested parcels. On paper this creates a light, airy pattern with generous white space between the streets.

Bakit Badger
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Badger is home to military families, university staff and Alaskans who chose room to breathe over city life. A poster of those long roads and river bends is a keepsake of a posting or a cabin, or of a life lived at sixty-five degrees north.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for instance with your road name or arrival date, and choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download for $9 or order a matte print.
